This stirring collection I’ve had the pleasure to edit is part memoir and part poetry collection. Written by a 15-year-old girl living in the devastation of Gaza, it covers some of the daily experiences of Palestinians from October 6, 2023 until the announcement of the recent ceasefire in October 2025 (which has since been broken numerous times).
Jana, who often writes in the third person to help distance herself from the day-to-day heaviness she is surviving, hopes to one day rise above the rubble to become a doctor and a writer—healing her people with both her words and her hands.
All of the proceeds outside of the cost of printing go directly to the author and her family.
