About the Author

Bekkah believes in the power of bravery and authenticity to make the world a better place. She invites you on a journey to discover radical empathy through her medically-driven fiction.

Bekkah holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wells College, where she graduated magna cum laude. She has been profiled by L.A. Weekly. Her debut novel, The Great Quiet, was hailed by Kirkus Reviews as an “ambitious, moving saga” and received the 2024 Silver IPPY Award for Pacific Rim fiction. In addition to her novels, Bekkah has also had work appear in The Healing Muse, among other publications.

She has wanted to be a writer ever since figuring out (at the ripe old age of 6) that she was too clumsy for ballet.

Outside of writing, Bekkah enjoys swimming, sudoku, and memes; she is also an outspoken advocate for mental health. She owns a local media business, iHeart Oswego, and also works in marketing. Bekkah lives in Central New York with her husband, daughter, and their two lovable, untrainable dogs.
